Im back

So I have been told that I am in desperate need to update my blog, and my stereotypical answer was "I dont have time" and that would still be my answer if I hadn't got my new laptop. My laptop makes it possible to update my blog where ever I want. I really dont know if getting a new laptop is worth having to update my blog more frequent, but whatever. Oh the laptop that I am reffering to is my new 6 cell MSI Wind that just came in the mail 2 days ago.
Anyway, so has everyone seen my hot new wifes new hair style? I know you all (especially women) have to respond "I love it" when asked but honestly tell me what you all think so in 2 months when she wears me down and I finally say its ok if she wants to go back I have a rebuttle that at least my make her think twice about the decision she is embarking on because once she goes back to her hair color rut she will never leave it again. Oh, btw, she dyed it because I have been telling her that I wanted her too. I was at home doing something and she walked in and I had to look twice at the stranger that had walked into my home. It was a nice surprises.
So I talked about my new laptop, my wifes new due......what else has happened....... Oh, we got a new T.V.! We had a flat screen 42' plasma that we were borrowing from my in laws while the were in between houses living at Becky's parents home. Well the inevitable day arrived when we moved them into their house and they took our T.V. So we logically had to buy another one right? LOL, at least that is the logic we used. School is starting monday, and today I went into the school district to sign the hire on papers, so its official. For everyone that doesn't know I landed a paid Speech Assistnant internship and after this semester Ill be a certified SLPA (Speech Language Pathologist Assistant) Only thing pending is the 100 hours I will accumulate the first semester and I have to send in my college credits that pertain to my degree and if, after this semester, I have 20 or more hours Ill receive my certificate, which really just means a pay increase of anywhere from 2-7 dollars an hour depening on the district I work for. All this is so that I will, with my GPA I'm planning on getting, Ill be a shoe in when it comes time to apply for my masters degree. Ill have 6 months to a 1 year internship, and 1 year of paid experience being an SLPA ontop of my what then will be 4 years of working with kids. So all of my teachers say that my plan will look really good on a resume.
You know what is probably the latest and greatest event that is happening today? Its moms BIRTHDAY!! Happy Birthday mom!!!

I really should

Update this more often. The truth of the matter is I was intrigued by the idea of a blog, but what I have come to realize is that blogging, be it a family or a personal blog, it is much like keeping a journal and we all know how that goes. But I really still do like the idea though. Enough excuses. So this weekend is Easter which means this semester is half over, it also means we just finished our one year anniversary and our spring break.......WOW......where has the time gone? This spring break wasn't too eventful. Though we did clean our house up a little and re-arrange our computer room. Oh, and my PSY290 teacher posted our midterm test we took the last day of class before spring break on the net the Sunday following the exam. Just to warn everyone I studied a good two weeks, maybe I'm exaggerating it might have been a week, for this test and he posted a 59.5 out of 100 points for me. I was devastated. After devastation wore off, 2 minutes max, I started reviewing my options. The next day he emailed me and told me that he posted the wrong grade for me "and the good news is that the new grade is higher" he said. I was hoping for a 70 and it was an 87.5. I was pleased. And left me thinking "how could you do that the 8 is no where near the 5 on the keyboard". Anyway, that was that. Now on to the completion of our first year of marriage. I almost forgot. When I was dating my wife she briefly mentioned that she liked fine dinning. For me that was 15 maybe 20$ a plate. With that in mind listen to what we did for our anniversary, that needless to say was planned by my wife because I didn't know that outside of Hollywood things like this existed. We went to a restaurant were we had to have reservations, we get there and are told to wait, so we stand near the hostess to wait and she says "no..no you can look around or go to the downstairs bar and we will find you". We leave and do so. So we are on a hill over looking what must of been either Phoenix or Scottsdale. Walk around some fireplaces, people lounging around being served by the bartender. And it wasn't 15 minutes till a waiter found and beckoned us to the restaurant. I sit down and there were 3-4 glasses and sets of silverware for us. Okay, so until now it sounds like a normal fancy restaurant. Well what happened between meals I have never seen, not even in Hollywood. We finish our appetizers and a guy comes over, takes our plates and says let me get those for you. I look around wondering what he was referring to and before I knew it he was scooping off our crumbs from off our table. Have you ever been so perturbed by crumbs you felt like a waiter should come take them away? Me neither. But Ill tell you what, now that I have experienced it I wouldn't have it any other way. The restaurant was very nice, it also suited the occasion.......and only the occasion (meaning once a year at most). You know.B.M. (Before Marriage) this one first year was referred to as the "Bumpy one". Well now this year is up I am looking back searching for the bumps. The other people that I had heard this from most have been really picky people searching their first year with a fine comb and a microscope because I really don't know what they were talking about.......Gotta go....To be continued

My wife a.k.a superwomen

This is the love of my life. We have been married for nearly a year (a year in march) and she still continues to amaze me daily. Right now she is attending ASU west and is finishing up her first year in her Elementary Ed. program. The program keeps her busy with not only homework but 10 intern hours per week. This piled on top of her 25 hr work week at Rainbow Play Systems and not to mention her nursery calling makes her a very proficient and busy women.

My Husband

This is my husband Robert if you haven't noticed already he is the brains behind this blog but we decided to introduce each other so this is one of the few times you will probably hear from me. Right now Robert is working towards his bachelors degree in Speech Hearing and Science and then will go on to get his masters in Speech Therapy and maybe his doctorates in Audiology (we'll see). He works at Direct Care Personal where he habilitates children with special needs. He is currently serving in the young men’s at our church. His job, schooling, calling, and wife keep him pretty busy. Robert is the most amazing husband. He cleans, never procrastinates, and he adores me. He has never said a mean word to me and actually he compliments me constantly, so I am living the dream life. Robert is kind hearted, he is on top of all his priesthood duties, I never have to remind him of FHE (sometimes he has to remind me!), he always remembers scripture study at the close of our day, he respects me and loves me and so much more! I don't know what I ever did with out him. I never knew married life could be so wonderful. It is amazing how your love for someone can grow so rapidly but it really has in this past year. This is a really exciting time in our lives, we have our whole future ahead of us and I am so thankful that I get to spend eternity with Robert by my side.

 

 

If you think it doesn't look like much now you should of saw it about two months ago. The outside remains unchanged but the inside we sure did a number on. All of the flooring in the trailer....I mean our home had to be taken out and redone and to save a couple bucks we, and when I say we I mean Becky, had to take it all out ourselves. I didn't know that Becky had a back round in construction, though I should of figured, but she sure did know what to do and when it had to be done. I thought that taking the flooring out was a difficult task, little did I know about the pain, excuse me, the painting that was in store, which of course had to be done before the new flooring was in. The "flip that house" project took about a month, probably a little over, to finish. But the solitude that we receive is, in comparison, nothing when looking back at the effort we put in. It has really turned into our dream come true.

 

This is our guest bedroom that is really a computer room for now, but Becky has great plans for it becoming a future nursery. I posted just the corner because I wanted to show off the lines that were a pain to make look good.

The place that finally took a chance on me was the neighborhood Frys and I worked in the meat dept. As I was saving up for a car I was also going to school, institute and I was the gospel doctrines teacher at church. Well I hoodwinked Becky into going to the institute every Wed. night to a swing dance class. That was the best I could do at the time because I had no car, then eventually I got a car, then the girl, then the ring and got her to say yes. From hello to yes took a year to accomplish and has since been my greatest feat yet.
